Information Technology Specialist

We are looking for a skilled Information Technology Specialist to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving our IT infrastructure, providing technical support, and ensuring the secure and efficient operation of all our computer systems, hardware, and software.

Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, network servers, and phone technology.

Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to internal IT.

Provide helpdesk support and resolve problems to the end user’s satisfaction.

Monitor and maintain network and system security.

Evaluate and modify system's performance.

Administer servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, personal digital assistants, smartphones, software deployment, security updates, and patches.

Document incidents and report trends or potential security threats.

Conduct electrical safety checks on computer equipment.

Train and guide staff on computer and software use.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Proven experience as an IT Specialist or similar role.

Strong knowledge of networks, operating systems, system security, and databases.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with technical and non-technical staff.

Certifications in Microsoft, Linux, Cisco, or similar technologies are a plus.
