IT Mining Infrastructure Project Manager

This is a W2 contract with a great organization. As a contractor for Smith Johnson, you are eligible for medical, dental, life, and disability. Smith Johnson would pay for 70% of your medical and dental premiums, and 100% of life and disability. You are also eligible for a 3% retirement matching. Job Description & Primary Purpose

Our client is looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure Project Manager with strong technical knowledge and heavy industry experience in mining. This PM will work with infrastructure engineering teams to implement infrastructure solutions on new minor projects as well as some maintenance projects.

Responsibilities:

Develop and manage their own project plan: create Scope, Budget and Schedule

Maintain project plan and timeline

Use technical knowledge and expertise to ensure success

Work onsite 3-4 days at mine location

Manage IT Infrastructure engineering team on projects

Successfully utilize waterfall methodology

Focus on safety and documentation

Required Qualifications:

5+ Years of Strong Technical Infrastructure Technical Experience

3+ Years of Mining or Heavy Industry Experience

Strong Project Management: Creating and Managing Scope, Budget, Timeline

Willing to wear PPE on Mine Site

Demonstrated Risk and HSE acumen in projects

PMP Certified or formal education in Project Management

Willing to be onsite for 3-4 days per week
