Opportunity Snapshot:
Compensation: $50 - 80/hour
Location: Sinclair, WY
Assignment Duration: 6 months
Work Schedule: M-F / 40 hours+

Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering or equivalent work experience is preferred, but not required
A minimum of 5 years of job-related work experience in the petrochemical or refining industry
Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment
Experience with stage gate process for project development and execution
Must have excellent organizational skills with the ability to work with multiple deadlines under pressure
Ability to supervise contract engineers and construction crews on a project-by-project basis
Responsibilities:
Coordinate and execute multiple Capital and Expense Projects simultaneously. Coordinate and execute projects to improve plant safety, environmental compliance, reliability, and profitability. Provide plant and facility support for the continued reliable operation of existing equipment and installation of new equipment
Participate in planning and estimating of current and future projects
Coordinate internal resources and third-party resources, as required, to execute projects. Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility. Develop a detailed project plan/schedule to track progress
Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within budget, and functional
Monitor project progress, setup, and metrics reporting (e.g. time reporting by various team members, as well as due dates and project finance metrics)
Write project execution plans, scope of work documents, request for quote documents and other technical documents. Keep detailed project notes and records
Manage multi-disciplinary project team and conduct timely review meetings
Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques. Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
Create, maintain, and store project deliverables and documentation on the shared repository
Create and maintain well-organized and professional-looking work area

Client Overview:
Our Client is a Fortune 500 company and an independent petroleum refiner that focuses primarily on producing high-value light products such as gasoline, diesel fuel, jet fuel, specialty lubricant products and specialty and modified asphalt. They own and operate several refineries located primarily in Southwestern United States and market their products to this area, as well as the Rocky Mountains, extending into the Pacific Northwest and other neighboring Plains states.
