Electrical and Instrumentation Technician

LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a growing organization, and they are seeking an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician to join their team in Ottawa, IL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical maintenance with a focus on troubleshooting and repairing electrical and instrumentation systems. The role requires proficiency in PLC Configuration Software, particularly RSLogix 5000 and Concept. Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance and repair of electrical and instrumentation systems.

Troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation issues to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.

Conduct preventative maintenance activities to ensure the reliability and performance of electrical systems.

Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to optimize system performance and efficiency.

Utilize PLC Configuration Software, including RSLogix 5000 and Concept, to program and configure control systems.

Document maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and equipment upgrades.

Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

Provide technical support and training to maintenance and operations staff as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical maintenance.

Associate's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.

Proficiency in PLC Configuration Software, with experience in RSLogix 5000 and Concept preferred.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
