Vice President of Engineering

The Opportunity:

Our client, a manufacturing organization in Bristol, Virginia, has partnered with ML6 in their search for a VP of Engineering to join their team! In this role, you will play a crucial role in planning, directing, coordinating, and overseeing activities within the Engineering department.

What You'll Be Doing:

Ensure the development and implementation of efficient operations and cost-effective systems to meet the current and future needs of the company.

Actively participate in company strategy development and be responsible for supporting all functions requiring engineering interface.

Project Management functions, as it relates to the Engineering department.

Direct interface with customers.

Monitor, track and report the department’s KPIs against stated goals.

Collaborate with multiple engineering disciplines and production/operational groups

Develop short and long range plans around organizational structure, staffing requirements and succession plans.

Plan, organize and direct the engineering activities to support all internal and external business groups.

What You'll Need to Be Successful:

10+ years of applicable technical and leadership experience.

Experience with Medium Voltage Switchgears within a manufacturing environment.

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.

PEng or Masters Degrees would be considered an asset.

Proven record in leading engineering teams and projects successfully.
