Position: Outside Sales Manager

About the job:

Analytical & Combustion Systems [ACS], a Subsidiary of Preferred Holdings Company, is a manufacturer’s representative located in Bethel, CT with a variety of lines that serve industrial, commercial, and large-scale residential steam and hot water plants. ACS is looking for the right candidate for a field service engineer position located in and covering the greater New York City area. The ideal candidate will have formal college or trade school education and have experience in the industrial and commercial boiler market. Daily travel throughout the territory is required, but overnight trips will be more rare.

Primary Function:

· Develop and maintain relationships with consulting engineers and engineering firms

· Be involved on projects at the design stage

· Influence project specifications and drawings

· Promote sales growth initiatives

· Review engineered drawings to fully understand the specification and need in order to develop quotes and provide alternatives and recommendations

· Interface with inside administrative and project management team

Desirable skills include:

· Bachelor of science in engineering or

· Be creative and hands-on, with excellent mechanical ability

· Be detail orientated

· Have good written and oral communication

· Have strong interpersonal skills

Compensation is a mix of salary and bonus dependent on sales volume, so only highly self-motivated salespeople will find this position rewarding. A company vehicle will also be provided as part of the compensation. Benefit package includes health insurance, 401k, and paid vacation and holidays.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year, DOE

Benefits: 401(k) with company match; health, dental and vision insurance; life insurance; paid time off; and paid holidays.

Schedule: Monday to Friday with overtime

Supplemental pay types: bonus; commission; company vehicle available for personal use

Education: Bachelor's or Trade School (Preferred)

Experience: 3 years

Willingness to travel: 75% (Preferred)
