Electronic Security Technician

Elite Contracting Group is seeking Electronic Security Technicians to join our team based out of our Petersburg, VA location!

Responsibilities:

Ensure all work is performed according to safety standards with a focus on

quality customer service

Install cabling and card readers, mount equipment, door contact and strikes,

intrusion detection, CCTV equipment, and access control systems

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, wiring diagrams, and other

specifications

Manage and maintain proper material inventory

Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Demonstrated mechanical ability

Experience in the electronics field, with commercial access control and CCTV

Fiber and conduit installation experience preferred

High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training preferred

Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, and crawl

Must be able to work in confined spaces

Must be able to lift and move items over 50 pounds

Must be able to climb ladders and elevate in lifts and bucket trucks

Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring

Must be able to work in various conditions, including but not limited to extreme

heat and cold

Additional Requirements:

Must be able to work Monday – Friday 7:00AM – 5:00PM; additional work,

including on-call, may be required

Must possess and maintain a satisfactory background record

Must be willing to travel

Must provide own basic hand tools
