Kelly Outsourcing & Consulting Group (KellyOCG), a managed solution provider and business unit of Kelly Services, Inc., is currently seeking a Molecular Biology Scientist for a contract role at one of our Global clients in South San Francisco, CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES

from the bench in the design and manufacture of novel CAR constructs discovered using the company’s high-throughput platform Independently execute and troubleshoot molecular biology projects to support the laboratory team Introduce techniques and protocols to enable library assembly and implement quality control metrics to enhance reproducibility.

closely with team members to understand details of ongoing gene editing and cell engineering projects

excellent electronic lab notebook records of protocols and experimental details

with software engineers to develop the design and analysis methodologies and pipeline

QUALIFICATIONS

BS in molecular biology, cell biology, biotechnology, or related area with 5 years of experience, or MSc. with 3 years of experience

experience with molecular cloning techniques such as golden gate and Gibson assembly, plasmid DNA preparation, DNA/RNA extraction, cell transfection, viral QC REQUIRED

experience with next gen sequencing library preparation and execution including single cell sequencing, and oxford nanopore.

ability to troubleshoot experiments in real time.

in high-throughput protein engineering approaches is a plus

communication skills with proven experience in collaborating across disciplines

organizational skills, detail oriented and an ability to prioritize effectively to deliver results within reasonably established timelines

to work in a fast-paced environment and able to adjust workload based upon changing priorities.
