Senior Python/Django/AWS Developer

100% Remote (CST ONLY)

We are looking for an experienced Senior Python Developer with a strong background in the Django framework and a keen interest in the financial services industry. The ideal candidate will be proficient in both back-end and some front-end development, with a focus on building robust, scalable, and efficient solutions. As a key member of our development team, you will play a pivotal role in architecting and implementing high-quality software solutions to meet the evolving needs of our clients.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain back-end services and APIs using Python and the Django framework

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement front-end components and user interfaces

Utilize cloud technologies, particularly AWS, to deploy and manage scalable infrastructure

Develop and maintain AWS Lambda functions and API Gateway configurations

Implement and optimize database solutions using Postgres for back-end storage

Build and maintain unit test guidelines and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines

Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices to continuously improve our development processes and methodologies

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)

Extensive experience developing web applications using Python and the Django framework

Familiarity with cloud technologies, particularly AWS, and experience deploying applications in cloud environments

Proficiency with AWS Lambda and API Gateway configurations

Strong understanding of relational databases, with experience working with Postgres for back-end storage

Experience with front-end development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript would be advantageous

Prior experience in the financial services industry would be a significant plus

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment

Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
