Senior Interior Designer

Lug is seeking an experienced and creative Senior Interior Designer to enrich our team with their expertise in both residential and commercial interior design. The ideal candidate will have a robust portfolio demonstrating innovative design solutions that meet and exceed expectations. Key Responsibilities:

Design Leadership: Lead the design process from concept through completion, ensuring that all functional and aesthetic objectives are met. This includes creating mood boards, sketches, drawings, and detailed plans that convey design ideas clearly to clients and stakeholders.

Client Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to understand design needs, preferences, and vision. Develop bespoke interior design concepts that blend style with practicality for both home and commercial environments.

Material and Selection: Expertly select and procure materials, finishes, fixtures, and furnishings that align with the design concept and budget. Stay abreast of the latest trends and innovations in design materials to provide clients with unique and sustainable options.

Project Management: Oversee project timelines and budgets, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within financial guidelines. Prepare comprehensive construction documents and collaborate with contractors and builders to ensure designs are implemented accurately and to the highest standards.

Space Planning and Layout: Utilize expert space planning skills to create functional and aesthetically pleasing interior layouts. This includes a keen understanding of color sense, thematic design, and the ability to work with diverse inspirations to meet specific design goals.

Construction and Installation Management: Act as the primary liaison between the construction design team and trade professionals. Ensure that the installation of designs adheres to the original vision, managing any challenges that arise during the execution phase efficiently.

Studio Coordination: Manage the studio’s day-to-day operations, including coordinating set designs, decorations, and the logistics of studio projects. Act as a liaison between design teams, production crews, and external partners to ensure seamless project execution.

Experience:

Proven experience in home and commercial interiors, with a portfolio that showcases a broad range of design styles and projects.

Demonstrated ability in set design and decoration, studio, and set design, highlighting versatility and creativity in various design contexts.

Strong project management skills, with a history of successfully leading projects from inception to completion.

Excellent design and color sense, with a deep understanding of space planning, layout, and working with themes and inspiration.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or a related field.

A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior interior design role, with a focus on both residential and commercial projects.

Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.

Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying design concepts to clients and teams effectively.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines and budget requirements.
