Through innovation and with leading technology development, iRay has introduced a broad flat panel X-ray detector portfolio, which spans from amorphous silicon to Oxide sensors, flexible substrates, and CMOS detectors. In recent years iRay has expanded its product offerings to include X-ray collimators, generators, ionization chambers, microfocus tubes, and high-energy linear accelerators.

The Solon Ohio site is dedicated to designing and manufacturing both projection X-ray and 3D Computed Tomography (CT) systems, incorporating state-of-the-art X-ray generation and detection technology.

About the position:

We are looking for the following Co-op positions in Solon Ohio site for the qualified students.

1.Electrical Engineer

Job Description:

You will be responsible for

• the development of analog and digital signal processing electronics

Educational Requirements:

• Must be a currently enrolled student majoring in Electrical Engineering and having completed at least the sophomore year

• Cumulative grade point average of at least 3.00 on a scale of 4.0

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with digital/data signal processing with Xilinx FPGA or ARM MCU, DSP, etc.

• Experience with electronics design tools such as schematic capture (Cadence Allegro, Altium, Mentor Graphics, or equivalent).

• Experience with PCB layout.

• Circuit design and implementation experience in such areas as CAN, CAN FD, Ethernet, Load Drivers, Motor Control, Microcontrollers/Microprocessors, Memory, On-Board Power Management

• Experience with lab instruments such as oscilloscope (Tektronix MSO/MDO, DMM, power supply, signal generator, network analyzer, LCR meter, etc.

2. Software Engineer

Job Description:

Responsibilities

The development of a data pipeline communication system for data acquisition,

SW implementation of alogrithms for CT raw data calibration and image reconstruction (Tools: C++, Intel lPP math libraries and NVDIA CUDA GPU)

Design configuration management and logging libraries on a cross-platform architecture (windows and linux) (Tools: C++)

Educational Requirements:

Must be a currently enrolled student majoring in Computer Science and having completed at least the sophomore year

Cumulative grade point average of at least 3.00 on a scale of 4.0

Desired Qualifications:

Implement algorithms in C, C++ (optimized for speed) using multi-threading along with the use of boost and intel IPP libraries.

Knowledge of messaging protocols used for application communication in a multi-system environment (Windows-Linux)

Knowledge of GPU and image reconstruction and image processing would be a plus.

Knowledge and experience related to the message broker protocol and software

Platforms: Windows, Linux

Software design Principles: SOLID design principles, knowledge of design patterns.

3. Mechanical Engineer

Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES -

· Develop and design mechanical sub-systems.

· Evaluate and optimize design performance using analytical and experimental methods.

· Participate in technical design reviews with cross-disciplinary and international project teams.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS -

Must be a currently enrolled student majoring in Mechanical Engineering and having completed at least the sophomore year

Cumulative grade point average of at least 3.00 on a scale of 4.0

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS -

Experience in CAD design (SolidWorks), GD&T tolerancing, and FEA analysis (SolidWorks Simulation).

Understanding of common manufacturing processes and limitations.

· Mathematical competency in mechanical analysis and basic engineering mathematics.

· Knowledge of imaging physics, electronics, & electrical circuitry a plus.

· Experience with reliability engineering or test engineering is a plus.

· Fluent in English; knowledge of Mandarin is an asset

4. CT Image Reconstruction Engineer

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned

Experience with implementing, improving, and using novel sophisticated image processing and image analysis programs in a numerically efficient and robust way in the field of CT imaging

Actively participate the development and implementation of CT image generation methods, including data corrections, image reconstruction, and image processing

Get involved in the integration of new Computed Tomography (CT) scanner systems; Collect and analyze data; Write software for data analysis; Design experiments for testing algorithms and features.

Prototype advanced image processing algorithms around image reconstruction

Tune image processing algorithms to enhance image quality

Design suitable solutions to complex problems with assistance from junior engineers

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS -

Must be a currently enrolled GRADUATE student majoring in Physics/Math.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS -

Good to have experience with design, development, and implementation of CT scanners or similar medical equipment with emphasis

Excellent mathematics, problem solving, and analytical skills

Excellent skills in implementing, evaluating, and establishing new imaging approaches in a clinical/research environment

Thorough understanding of CT physics and associated biophysics

Strong background in Digital Signal Processing is required, Background in Digital Image Processing is a plus

& ANALYTICAL SKILLS

Programming Experience in: C or C++, and MATLAB or python
