Description
We are seeking a talented Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a key role in optimizing our production processes and ensuring smooth operations. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, quality, and production, to drive continuous improvement and deliver high-quality products to our customers.
In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing existing manufacturing processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing innovative solutions to maximize efficiency and reduce waste. You will also work closely with our design team to provide input on manufacturing feasibility and develop production plans that meet cost, quality, and delivery targets.
Responsibilities
Develop and improve manufacturing processes, methods, and standard operating procedures
Conduct time studies, capacity analysis, and line balancing to optimize production efficiency
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement manufacturing layouts and ergonomic workstations
Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements
Support new product introductions by providing manufacturing input and developing production plans
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for process-related issues
Monitor production performance metrics and drive continuous improvement activities
Requirements
Proven experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in a fast-paced environment
Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and methodologies
Experience with process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives
Familiarity with Six Sigma tools and methodologies
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and collaboration abilities
Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards for the manufacturing industry will be a plus
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering preferred)
Minimum 5 years of experience with manufacturing processes
Minimum 2 years of proven project leadership experience
Experience with Lean Manufacturing and process improvements required; prefer Lean Expert or Toyota Production System training
Six Sigma Green Belt Required; Black Belt Preferred
Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Kanban and 5S
