Database Architect

DB2 Warehouse Architect:

Individual will be expected to design and architect database deployment, Replication architecture and automation solutions. Enterprise Database Architects are responsible for designing and managing complex database solutions that support large-scale business operations. They have a deep understanding of enterprise-level requirements, including high availability, disaster recovery, and compliance with industry regulations.

Deep knowledge of DB2 Datawarehouse platform that includes administration, configuration and setup, Security, Managing Spark Activities, Federation, Monitoring

Expertise in designing DB2 Warehouse high Availability and Disaster recovery Solution to meet the SLA objectives.

Understanding DB2 data replication tools and Strategy

Design monitoring Solution for DB2 Warehouse

Well versed in Replication Installation and Upgradation, required Security Certificates, setting up, Monitoring, and managing replication.

Extensive experience of migrating DB2 Warehouse from one platform to another and on-prem to cloud.

Good Understanding Identify user needs to create and administer DB2 Warehouse.

Well versed with Design and build of new databases.

Expert in Database Security and Encryption methodology, Database User management, Audit Policy guidelines, IBM DB2 Warehouse Native encryption

Well versed in defining Back-up and restore strategy for data to prevent data loss.

Good understanding of Database Automation tools and procedures, Knowledge of Configuration management tools is a must.

Good knowledge of automation tools such as (Ansible, Terraform, Git, Jenkins...)

Experience of working on Linux operating systems

Good knowledge of docker/ Kubernetes based DB2 warehouse MPP deployment.

Knowledge of Azure and AKS is desirable.

Ensure that databases operate efficiently and without error.

Make and test modifications to database structure when needed.

Maintain databases and update permissions.
