Sourcing Manager

Responsible for the day to day vendor management and selection for suppliers within commodity supply base; procuring of diversified commodities through supplier development to ensure delivered quality, product availability and value; analyze problems and provide resolution to ensure business goals and objectives can be met; execute to the timeline and direction developed by the Director of Purchasing.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Research, discover and analyze potential new suppliers.

Build capabilities with new and existing suppliers.

Development and relationship building of suppliers into key partners.

Responsible for tracking and improving quality, availability, and value for individual suppliers.

Continuous evaluation of costs, lead times and inventory turns.

Understand the competitive landscape within commodity base as well as all processes, materials and costs related to their commodities.

Successfully implement New Product Initiative projects within budgeted cost profiles and agreed upon timelines.

Work with internal Quality and Engineering Departments to meet company goals for cost and timeline.

Report on key metrics on a monthly basis.

Provide the leadership to ensure BUNN’s Mission and Core Values are the centerpieces of the organization.

Perform other assigned duties.

QUALIFICATIONS

Ideal candidate would have B.S. Degree in Business Management, Engineering, Manufacturing Technology or related field; 7+ years experience in global supply chain solutions; hands-on experience with materials sourcing and supply chain management; strong negotiation skills; demonstrated knowledge of commodities, manufacturing methods, market conditions and sources of supply; demonstrated knowledge of Engineering and Quality principles and methods; strong project management skills for both commodity management and new product development assistance; developed proficiency in use of PC and applications; Independent self-starter who is detail oriented and a good communicator; previous experience using SAP and/or MRP systems. The ability to multitask and provide follow through is critical.
