Key Responsibilities

· Collaborate with engineers and designers to research, analyze, and resolve complex transportation issues.

· Prepare conceptual intersection layouts, schematics, signal timings and engineering reports.

· Perform analysis by becoming proficient in software such as Vistro, Sidra, Synchro, and Sim Traffic.

· Interpret, visualize, and clearly convey technical analyses via written reports and presentations.

· Share expertise by providing testimony and leading presentations at community hearings.

· Prepare temporary traffic control plans (TTCP)/maintenance of traffic plans (MOT).

· Apply current Local, State & Federal design and zoning standards and regulations to ensure compliance.

Preferred Qualifications

· Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) from an accredited university or a degree from an accredited university with a major in engineering.

· 2+ years of experience with a focus on preparing and reviewing design work that solves transportation problems and conforms with local and national design guidelines.

· FE/EIT preferred.

· Expertise in the principles, practices and trends of transportation design.

· Passion for collaboration throughout the development and execution of projects.
