As a Proactive Sales Representative, your primary responsibilities will be to identify potential clients, create sales opportunities, and convert leads into successful sales. You will be expected to use your expertise to effectively communicate our products, identify customer needs, and tailor your sales approach accordingly.
Your role will be integral in driving business growth and improving our market position, and your proactive approach will be key. This is not just about reacting to incoming inquiries - you will actively seek out and engage prospective customers, using your initiative to reach and exceed your sales targets.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Actively seek out new business opportunities through networking, social media, and other relevant avenues.
Identify potential clients and the decision-makers within the hydroponic supply industry
Research and understand customers needs and tailor sales strategies accordingly
Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline and track activities using CRM software (Salesforce)
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients to encourage repeat business through text, email and calls
Close deals to achieve (and exceed) sales targets
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure client needs are met and to maximize cross-selling opportunities
Respond to customer inquiries via email and phone in a timely and professional manner
Provide product information and recommendations based on customer needs
Assist customers with placing orders and ensuring their satisfaction
Stay up-to-date with our product offerings and industry trends
QUALIFICATIONS:
Proven track record of successful sales experience, preferably in a B2B environment
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and ambitious
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Familiarity with CRM software (i.e. Salesforce)
Ability to build and maintain relationships
