PRODUCTION MANAGER Arlington, VA SALARY: $120,000 - $130,000 + annual bonus

(High-speed bakery)

SALARY RANGE: $120,000 - $130,000 + annual bonus

Production Manager leads the hourly operators and salaried supervisor activities of the plant. This includes the development and scheduling of training programs, equipment and facility/food safety. The PM is responsible for assisting with hiring, managing, and developing a competent production team.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

- Bachelor’s degree and work experience in:

- 5+ years of progressive production leadership experience in a high-speed bakery or similar environment Some form of Food manufacturing to include fresh baked goods, meat and poultry is required

- 4-year Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Operational Management or related subject

- Proven hands-on leader with strong floor presence while supervising 4+ salaried production supervisors

- BRC experience a plus

- Frozen bakery production a very strong plus

- Strong production planning and troubleshooting

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Ensure training and productivity are current at all times in order to deliver high quality products and meet the scheduled output requirements of the facility. Determine shift needs, schedule repair and maintenance, prioritize training and ensure execution of work.

- Supervise and coordinate staff of sanitation techs to accomplish all cleaning of equipment and requirements from local, state and federal guidelines, assigning specific tasks, training, follow up on assignments completed. Hire, manage and develop a competent maintenance workforce

- Determine equipment operations and sanitation procedures and provide adequate training to employees

- Reports to plant General Manager

- Overseeing 4+ supervisors including sanitation department
