Safety Officer - Concrete Construction

J. L. Marshall and Sons is seeking to hire a safety officer to join our team. The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing compliance with Company-wide safety initiatives that meet and exceed best practices in the construction industry. In consultation with our safety director, project executives and job-site superintendents, our safety officer will design job site safety plans and procedures, perform on-site safety inspections and reports, train company personnel in safety practices, and manage workers’ compensation claims.

Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in a safety-related field. Prior experience is preferred but not required. The ideal candidate will be eager to obtain applicable construction safety knowledge and related certifications, including OSHA construction safety trainer, knowledge of FMCSA and DOT compliance regulations, CSP, CHST, etc.

We are a full-service concrete contractor located in Seekonk, MA, servicing clients in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut and southern New Hampshire. Our projects include sports arenas, university buildings, public and private schools, industrial facilities, hospitals, and high-rise residential and office buildings.
