Claims Manager

Overview:

Highly regarded NYSE Insurance company is seeking a Claims Manager (Director depending upon level of experience) to be based either in Tempe or Chicago. Must have Construction Defect Experience. Hybrid. Routinely chosen as a TOP 100 Company (and the top insurance company) to work for.

The Job:

-Handling Construction Defect Claims for the west coast and central south regions in the US

-Assess and analyze coverage issues on claims

-Investigate Claims and post appropriate reserves

-Work very closely with other Claims employees as well as others inside and outside the company

-Will be handling approximately 100 files at a time

What you will bring:

-Preferably a JD along with 10 + years of experience either from a law firm, another carrier or a combination. Will consider candidates that do not possess a JD.

-Must have in-depth Construction Defect knowledge / experience

-Must have in-depth coverage experience, either from a firm or another carrier

-Excellent oral and written communication skills along with the ability and interest to work both alone and with your team.
