System/Network Engineer - Hardware Infrastructure

We are seeking a skilled and experienced System Engineer for a contract to hire role, with specialized knowledge in Dell server, storage, and strong networking skills to join our dynamic team. As a System Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of our hardware infrastructure, ensuring the highest levels of reliability and performance. vSwitch, Switch, Router, and Firewall skills are required. Finetune network performance across LAN, WAN, and SDWAN segments. This role is Hybrid, and will require being onsite in the Pearl River office 1-2 days/week.

Responsibilities:

Design, configure, and deploy Dell server, storage, and networking solutions tailored to meet specific business needs.

Implement and manage VMWare ESX and VSAN environments, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and reliability.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess system requirements, propose solutions, and implement best practices.

Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to Dell servers, storage, VMWare ESX, and VSAN, and networking.

Monitor system performance and security, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues.

Develop and maintain documentation, including system configurations, processes, and procedures.

FortiGate Firewall Configuration & Troubleshooting.

Dell Switch Configuration & Troubleshooting.

Install and Troubleshoot SD-WAN configurations.

Troubleshooting Network issues.

Perform firmware upgrades on infrastructure equipment.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering (or related field) or related in-field experience.

Strong experience working with hardware.

10+ years of experience as a System Engineer, with a focus on Dell server and storage technologies.

Expertise in designing, configuring, and maintaining Dell focused solutions.

Proven experience in managing VMWare ESX and VSAN environments.

Strong knowledge of networking concepts and protocols.

Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Certifications such as Dell EMC Certified Professional, VMWare Certified Professional, etc., are a plus.
