Position: Air Export Operations Specialist

Location: Farmingdale, NY

Type: Full-time, Hybrid Work Model

Schedule: Monday – Friday

Salary: Up to $75K

Job Description: As an Air Export Operations Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in managing the international air export process from inception to completion. Your responsibilities will include:

Issuing and rating air waybills, house air waybills, and consolidations.

Providing competitive rate quotations and negotiating pricing with vendors to ensure optimal pricing, routing, and service.

Developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers to identify and capitalize on business opportunities.

Coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure timely receipt and submission of all required documentation.

Liaising between vendors, suppliers, forwarders, and agents to obtain up-to-date shipment information.

Providing accurate updates to customers on the progress of their shipments.

Ensuring compliance with U.S. export laws and regulations.

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of experience in international air freight operations.

Proficiency in basic computer skills including Outlook, Windows, Excel, and Word.

Knowledge of domestic trucking, EEI filing, U.S. export regulations, and customer service experience.

College degree preferred or equivalent working experience.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
