Essential Job Functions:

Accompany the provider into the patient exam room in order to transcribe a history and physical examination, along with the assessment and plan

Provides real time documentation, accurately of the physician’s encounter with the patient and care giver(s) into the electronic medical record

Lists patient’s chief complaint, patient history, primary diagnoses, and symptoms as well as follow-up instructions and prescriptions as directed by the provider

Documents any procedures performed by the provider

Creates orders for any further testing ordered by the provider

Maintains professional decorum at all times

Ability to multi-task efficiently and effectively

Must be able to act calmly and professionally in a busy office setting/stressful situation

Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

· Undergraduate degree in healthcare or science field

· Working knowledge of medical terminology

· Computer proficiency and ability to adapt to changing workflows
