Position: Assembly Team Lead – Golf Cart Assembly
Job Overview: As the Assembly Team Lead at our Golf Cart Assembly Plant, you will play a vital role in overseeing and coordinating the assembly process to ensure the production of high-quality golf carts. You will lead a team of skilled assemblers, ensuring they meet production targets, maintain safety standards, and adhere to quality guidelines. Reports to Workshop Manager - Golf Cart Assembly.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
Lead and motivate a team of assembly technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to achieve production goals.
Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork and collaboration.
Assembly Coordination:
Coordinate and oversee the assembly process, ensuring the efficient flow of work and adherence to production schedules.
Monitor production metrics and implement improvements to enhance productivity and quality.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure that all assembled golf carts meet quality standards and specifications.
Conduct regular quality checks and work closely with the quality control team to address any issues.
Safety Compliance:
Enforce safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Investigate and report any safety incidents, implementing corrective actions as needed.
Inventory Management:
Coordinate with the Materials Planning Supervisor to ensure the availability of required components and materials for assembly.
Monitor inventory levels and report any shortages or excesses.
Training and Development:
Identify training needs within the team and facilitate training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
Cross-train team members to ensure flexibility and adaptability in assembly tasks.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions.
Collaborate with the manufacturing engineering team to implement best practices and optimize assembly processes.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus).
Three (3) years of experience in assembly, manufacturing, or a related field.
Proven leadership and team management skills.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is preferred.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic production environment.
