Synergy Health Laboratories is a local startup and industry leading manufacturer of vitamins, herbal extracts and health and wellness supplements. We are looking for a machine operator to work on our capsule filling machines. Must be reliable with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Job Responsibilities

Ensure product specifications and procedures are followed on a daily basis to ensure finished products are of the highest quality and purity.

Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle and control and adjust machine settings during operation.

Test operation of machines periodically and fix any issues that might occur during the shift.

Clean and maintain equipment.

Observe production and monitor equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Read work orders to determine production specifications and information.

Record operational and production data on specified forms.

Transfer materials, supplies, and products between work areas.

Unload mixtures into containers or onto conveyors for further processing.

Add or mix chemicals and ingredients for processing, using hand tools or other devices.

Take action and communicate with a manager when product levels might be low or running out.

Examine bulk materials and ingredients and finished products visually or with hands, in order to ensure conformance to established standards.

Constantly look for ways to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.

Receive, inspect and process incoming stock and materials.

Conduct inventory counts.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a machine operator.

Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer etc.).

Understanding of production procedures.

Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear).

Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals.

Analytical skills and attention to detail.

High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree is a plus.

Basic Math Skills.

18 years of age or older.

Must be able to verbally communicate with managers and co-workers.

Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.

Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).

Must be able to understand and follow safety and sanitation procedures.
