Full Time Office Administrative
For a Farm/Produce Company in Wendell, NC
M-F 9:00 am to 4:30 pm or later
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and outgoing Office Administrative individual to join our team. We are a small family farm that is dedicated to sustainable and ethical agricultural activities involved in growing, packing, marketing and distribution of fruits and vegetables to the finest restaurants in the greater triangle. The packing facility, green houses, and storage building are located thirty minutes from downtown Raleigh, North Carolina.
In this role, you will provide support to our office employees, ensuring they have all the information and resources they need to perform their best. Your responsibilities will include answering phone calls and provide support to customers and drivers during the course of the day. Take charge of AR/AP with the owner’s oversight and process payroll. The ideal candidate is highly organized with excellent written and verbal communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
Qualifications
1-3 years of previous experience as an Office Administrative or similar position preferred
Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
Produce knowledge a must and a quick learner
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong mathematical and analytical skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
Good with spreadsheets, experienced in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and basic accounting systems
Understanding of office equipment, systems, and procedures
Responsibility and duties
· Answering phone with product knowledge
· Transcribe orders with accuracy and invoice orders
· Daily communications with customers, delivery drivers, and cooler crew
· A/R – handles accounts receivable
· A/P – work with owner on weekly budget, balance vendor accounts, process payments by check and/or credit card
· Order office supplies and track inventory
· Run reports in QuickBooks and analyze expenditures
· Assist with food safety protocol and monitor log books
· Process bi-weekly payroll thru ADP
· Assist in various office related tasks
· Keeping up with notes during the course of the day and be able communicate succinctly with other team members via email notes at end of day
