Job Description

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The purpose of this position is to support existing customers with product selections and generate new sales by actively pursuing leads generated through the Customer Relationship Management System for both Rockford Ball Screw and Rockford Linear Motion.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Manage new and existing customer projects and attend APQP meetings to ensure they are executed and are on time.

Actively utilize internal the Material Resource Planning system to forecast customer demand and contribute to SIOP meetings.

Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing post-sale communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise post-sale.

Maintains communication with existing and previous customers through webinars, alerting them of new products, services, and enhancements that may be of interest.

Maintain existing and prospective customer databases by actively utilizing the Customer Relationship Management system.

Generate customer quotes, proposals and manage opportunities in CRM.

Identify prospective customers by managing and qualifying new leads and/or following up with inbound and outbound leads.

Answer sales calls and provide technical support to customer base.

Research new potential customers with outbound cold calls and emails.

Serve as internal sales support for outside field sales by assigned territory locations.

Analyze existing customer account data for quarterly account reviews.

Obtain and Monitor Blanket Orders

Work with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain departments

Travel as needed and or annually to visit large key accounts (5 % travel).

Train new employees in areas of customer service, sales department process and policies.

Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive work environment.

Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Education:

Associate degree or equivalent skills and experience required.

Experience:

At least 3 years of sales experience with direct account management preferred.

CRM experience preferred.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Experience with computer programs including, MAPICS and Microsoft Office suite

Basic principles of negotiating

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to read and understand blueprints.

Strong organizational and prioritizing skills
