Job Description
We are seeking a QMHP-A Mental Health Skill Building Worker to join our team! Provides immediate in-person response to identified intervention needs of individuals in a home environment and community setting.
Responsibilities:
Establish open lines of communication for individuals with mental or emotional issues
Offer assistance to individuals with substance abuse issues
Provide prevention-oriented therapy
Implement and review treatment plans
Attend staff meetings, clinical supervision and trainings as required
Collaborate with additional treatment providers and placement agencies
Ensure all documentation is completed in a timely manner
Ensure compliance with regulations set by governing bodies and maintain standards of care according to Hands of Unity policies and procedures
Qualifications:
Candidates must have completed a Bachelors or Masters Degree in a Human Service Related Field. A human services field includes social work, gerontology, psychology, psychiatric rehabilitation, special education, sociology, counseling, and human services counseling.
Candidates must have at least one year of clinical experience. Clinical experience is defined as:
Providing direct behavioral health services to individuals with mental illness, intellectual disability or receiving gerontology or special education services. Candidates must have documented experience in the specific field that you are working. Candidate must have experience with implementing individual service plans. The clinical experience may include supervised internships and field experience.Other Qualifications:
Familiarity with community mental health resources
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Ability to build rapport with clients
Strong leadership qualitiesLicensure:
Current QMHP-A Registration with VADHP
Minimum QMHP-T; preferred QMHP-A
Valid state drivers license and current auto insurance
CPR/First Aid Training Certification and Crisis Wave training (within 14 days of employment)
