BASIC SUMMARY:

Ensure smooth and efficient operation of bar area by providing prompt, efficient and courteous service to members and guests and assist other team members as necessary. Contribute to the overall positive member and guest experience at the restaurant.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Mix and serve alcoholic and/or non- alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and procedures.

Create a cocktail of the day. Communicate with the Chef about daily specials and seasonality of fruits and herbs to create an impeccable pairing.

Serve food to members/guests.

Maintain a neat and clean bar station on a continuous basis.

Complete knowledge of menu and beverage selection to include: wine list, liqueur, liquor, champagne, and beer.

Enter sales into POS system and process member payment transactions accurately.

Verify accuracy of all state and federal taxes, tips, and other charges on the check; present check to members/guests. Verbally mention that service charge has already been included in the check.

Prepare end of day inventory sheets and stock requisition sheets.

Balance bank to sales report with accuracy.

Follow daily cash drop procedures.

Perform cleanup and closing duties as assigned including signing out at the Front Office.

Attend daily line-ups as required.

Consistently comply with all federal, state, local and company laws, policies and procedures relating to the service of alcohol.

Communicate and demonstrate 10 Hospitality Values to guests and staff at all times.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

One-year previous experience as Bartender or any combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Florida Responsible Vendor and Food Handler Certificates preferred.

POS experience preferred.

Listen effectively; speak, read and write fluently in English.

Achieve positive guest relations and maximize guest satisfaction.

Work under pressure and handle difficult situations.

Highly proficient at multiple tasks and prioritizing work.

Fully committed to team work and able to work with no to little supervision.

Full and open availability to work days, nights, weekends and holidays.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS – ABILITY TO:

Grasp, lift, push/pull, carry or transport up to 50 lbs.

Push/pull wheeled carts weighing up to 100 lbs.

Bend, stoop, kneel, and reach with hands and arms.

Stand for length of scheduled shift.

Express and exchange ideas by means of the spoken word accurately, loudly and quickly.

Perceive the nature of sounds at a normal speaking level and make fine discriminations in sound.

Visual acuity to determine accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.

Withstand a moderate noise level.
