Position Summary

This position is ideal for individuals who have the drive to watch-through the Audio, Video, & Subtitle content and deliver error free work. It requires a highly motivated individual with attention to detail, great organizational skills, and passion for communicating and connecting with others. Outcomes and Accomplishments

As a QC Technician, you will:

Perform 100% Detailed Mastering watch-through for content from a variety of clients and formats to ensure these assets are free of any errors.

Report and document issues found using project-related checklists and on internal database.

Communicate and interact with the team manager, offloading units, and associated departments regarding issues related to the project.

Should be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Should be able to troubleshoot issues and showcase problem solving abilities.

Should be a highly dependable player to support team needs.

Written and verbal communication providing detailed feedback to project managers and clients.

Utilize and monitor a production workflow database, inputting data as necessary to track progress.

Close adherence to security policies which are established to protect Deluxe systems and client assets.

What You Bring:

Excellent knowledge of FCP, Premier Pro, Da Vinci, Tektronix, Color front Transcoder, Baton and Clipster

Experience using NLE’s to play/pause video content

Working knowledge of professional audio/video equipment including scope and analyzers.

Knowledge of IMF mastering (including supplementals), DCP mastering (including KDM operations) and DVS Clipster operations with HDR workflows including HDR (HDR+, Dolby Vision) and IMF Package.

Familiarity with file-based Audio/Video Media and Codecs. QuickTime MOV, AVID MXF, XDCAM MXF, MP4. ProRes (all versions), MPEG (all versions), JPEG2000, TIFF, DNxHD/DNxHR, BWAV, AC3, etc.

Working knowledge of current SMPTE, theatrical and broadcast standards.

Understand the concepts of color spaces, bit-depths, chroma sub-sampling and sampling rates.

Understanding of graphics, imagery and sound specifications, such as colours, resolution, audio glitches etc,

Good judgement and logical/analytical skills.
