Title: Automobile Engineer

Location: Angola, West Africa

Responsibilities:

Conducting preventive and predictive maintenance activities for heavy earth moving vehicles to minimize breakdowns and ensure continuous operability.

Diagnosing and troubleshooting complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in heavy earth moving vehicles, including but not limited to bulldozers, excavators, dump trucks, and loaders.

Coordinating with the maintenance team to execute timely repairs and overhauls on heavy earth moving vehicles to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency.

Implementing best practices for equipment maintenance, including the use of advanced diagnostic tools and technology to enhance maintenance processes.

Developing and implementing maintenance schedules, procedures, and protocols to adhere to industry standards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Collaborating with procurement and inventory management teams to ensure the availability of spare parts and consumables required for vehicle maintenance.

Qualifications:

Diploma/Graduate in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

5 to 12 years of specialized experience in heavy earth moving vehicle maintenance, with a proven track record of effectively managing breakdowns and maintenance operations.

In-depth knowledge of heavy earth moving vehicle systems, including hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical components.

Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment for fault identification and resolution.

Strong understanding of safety protocols and best practices in heavy equipment maintenance.
