Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Kitchen Generalist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, servicing, and repairing a variety of commercial kitchen appliances and machines. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of technical experience and a solid background in refrigeration, appliance repair, kitchen equipment, and HVAC systems. Strong diagnostic skills and a commitment to providing excellent customer service are essential.
Qualifications/Skill Requirements:
2+ years of technical experience with refrigeration, appliance repair, kitchen equipment, and HVAC
Possession of a valid Driver’s License with a clean driving history
High school diploma or equivalent (required)
Strong diagnostic skills with the ability to identify complex problems promptly
Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions
Willingness to continuously update knowledge and skills through ongoing training and professional development opportunities
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information effectively with clients in a professional manner
Ability to work independently or as part of a team while adhering to deadlines
Proficiency in using smartphones and tablets effectively for remote communication and time tracking
Responsibilities:
Travel to client locations to install new equipment, respond to service requests, and troubleshoot equipment issues
Perform troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance on commercial food service equipment, including refrigeration equipment, cooking equipment, beverage equipment, and dish machines
Lift, carry, pull, and push components and/or equipment as needed
Respond to emergency maintenance requests in a timely manner
Adhere to safety regulations and company policies at all times to ensure a safe working environment
Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions
Maintain a neat and orderly service vehicle, along with accurate parts and tool inventory
