Housekeeping Aide

Our Edmonton client provides long term care and rehabilitation to adults in our community, and they are seeking a Housekeeping Aide to join their team right away. If you have previous experience in a laundry type capacity and looking to work in a care facility, we’d love to speak with you!

Responsibilities:

Ensure cleanliness all of department areas, as well as public areas

Stock and keep track of cleaning supplies

Garbage and bio-hazardous disposal

Sterilize and disinfect equipment according to health and safety policies

Complete regularly scheduled cleaning as well as special cleaning assignments

Interacts positively with guests and staff

Requirements:

Previous experience in a similar role is preferred

Able to read, write, and speak in English proficiently

Physically capable of standing, walking, bending, stretching, and moving heavy objects; comfortable with tasks such as mopping, using cleaning equipment

Knowledgeable on how to use cleaning equipment and supplies

Desire to provide quality care to guests and staff

Positive attitude, works well with a team to provide excellent care

Must be agreeable to a vulnerable sector check as part of employment
