Asurion is seeking a strategic individual well versed in anti-fraud practices. This individual will be responsible for leading and providing guidance from the leader of the Fraud Operations organization as it relates specifically to the Fraud Prevention program.

The next generation anti-fraud organization will be considered to be the Fraud Operations organization made up of three distinctly unique, yet overlapping, programs defined below:

Fraud Prevention – The ability of the organization to deter, disrupt, deny, degrade, or deceive the ability to commit fraud against Asurion’s business processes.

Fraud Detection - Prompt identification, corroboration, and escalation of actionable information pertaining to indicators of fraud at the endpoint, network, and account layers.

Fraud Investigations - Proactive analysis of new and existing fraud techniques, tactics, actors, tools, etc. to facilitate investigation into fraudulent transactions that circumvented existing controls; manage relationships with law enforcement; ensure iterative and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in complex problem solving, ability to challenge assumptions and consider alternative perspectives, think quickly and perform in high-stress situations, and operate well in a strong team environment. The successful candidate will have some exposure and be interested in modern and continuously evolving tools and tactics used by enterprise level organizations in effort of stopping fraud prior to any interaction with the business.

Primary Responsibilities

Aide in the build out and maintenance of a comprehensive technical anti-fraud solution by the use of industry known tools such as RSA Web Threat Detection, 41st Parameter FraudNet, PinDrop for IVR, WAFs (Akamai, Barracuda, Citrix, F5, etc.)

Identify, investigate, and evaluate findings and be able to communicate both verbally and in writing a clear and concise summary of findings

Understand documents and artifacts in place to manage the Fraud Prevention program and disseminate that information to the team of technical individual contributors

Identify strengths, weaknesses and opportunities of the team and work with leadership to enhance the program’s function on a day-to-day basis

Provide information to support functional KPIs, goals and metrics of the Fraud Prevention team back to the leader of the program

On a daily basis, act as a champion for Fraud Prevention at Asurion and within the local and broader communities

Qualifications

2+ years’ work experience in information technology, fraud, cyber security or information technology related investigations required

Must be extremely self-directed, organized and have excellent time management skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining high quality output and a positive working relationship with peers and management

Ability to effectively prioritize tasks to meet organizational deadlines while being able to adjust to changing priorities accordingly

Strong quantitative and analytical skills

Demonstrated ability to structure analysis and use analysis to help identify root causes versus underlying symptoms and make solid recommendations for improvement

High School Degree required

This position will require that you hold a valid insurance license. Failure to pass the insurance license exam or an inability to obtain or maintain the required license(s) will result in forfeiture of the position. If you are not currently licensed, but have taken and failed the insurance licensing exam or have otherwise been unable to complete the licensing application process, you will not be considered for this position.
