About the role:

The Senior EHS Consultant – Business Continuity will be working either on site at one of our client locations as an extension of their Safety/Security organization and/or working on a variety of consulting projects from BSI’s offices in Northern or Southern California Pacific Northwest, or Arizona. Projects are variable and challenging.

Senior EHS Consultant – Business Continuity Responsibilities:

Execution of Risk Assessments/Business Impact Analysis/Business Continuity planning

Development of Emergency Management or Business Continuity programs independently

Developing and delivering Emergency Management and Business Continuity training

Continuity of Operations (COOP) principles

Incident Command Structure (ICS) principles

Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP) methodologies

National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards

Hazard identification

Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) or Emergency Action Plan (EAP) development

Emergency Management or Business Continuity assessments/general program compliance audits

Scheduling meetings and working with client employees directly in a professional manner.

Supporting Emergency Management and Business Continuity Team development

Developing and/or executing emergency drills or exercises

Writing technical reports

Education/Qualifications:

Bachelor or master’s degree in science or EHS related field

7-10 years of experience in Business Continuity, Emergency Management, or Security

Writing or supporting development of emergency plans an business continuity plans

Developing or conducting drills and exercises of different sizes and scopes

May be required to work with or in an environment that contains chemicals or hazardous materials

Familiarity with WebEOC, E-TEAM, Veoci or other incident management software

Familiarity with OnSolve, Everbridge, RAVE, or other emergency notification tools

Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) or Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) certification

Other emergency management or business continuity certifications will be considered, such as CHEP, CEDP, or any certification from Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRI)

Working knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards for Emergency Management a plus but not required

Experience with decontamination in a healthcare setting a plus but not required

Experience in Security or Supply Chain a plus but not required

The salary for this position can range from $98,000 - $140,000 annually; actual compensation is based on various factors, including but not limited to, the candidate's competencies, level of experience, education, location, divisional budget and internal peer compensation comparisons.
