What you will do...
Responsible for the repair, cleaning, and troubleshooting of dies
Visualize and computer dimensions, sizes, shapes, and tolerances of assemblies based on specifications
Tear apart, clean, replace/repair, and rebuild components and dies
Fit and assemble parts to make, repair, or modify dies using machine tools and hand tools
File, grind, shim, and adjust different parts to properly fit together
Smooth and polish flat and contoured surfaces of parts using scrapers, abrasive stones, files, or power grinders
Verifies dimensions, alignments, and clearances of finished parts, using measuring instruments, such as calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers, and dial indicators
Maintain and utilize resources and equipment in the area safely and efficiently, within the Federal and State OSHA standards
Determine effective methods and resources to achieve desired requirements by conducting tasks accurately
Manufacture and/or remanufacture tooling, components, and parts as required per specifications, including welding as needed
Operate necessary equipment to achieve requirements
Maintain resources and equipment as necessary for effective operation
Responsible for keeping the work area clean and orderly
Troubleshoot any issues/nonconformance that arise. Start Nonconformance report when required
Ability to operate and inspect forklifts and cranes
Ensure that equipment used is in safe working order, within the Federal and State OSHA standards
Uphold professionalism by providing courteous customer service to employees, visitors, clients, and vendors
Performing other duties as assigned

Registered Journeyman and/or comparable education
Experience with manual machine operation
Read and interpret prints accurately
Excellent working knowledge of machining processes and in-depth understanding of tool and die manufacturing
Knowledge of machining, tool & die, modeling, programming, die cast process
Good understanding of similar industrial practices (electrical, plumbing, hydraulics)
Understanding of Federal and State OSHA standards
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Contribute to a team environment
Ability to multitask efficiently and effectively
