Responsibilities:
Act as Company Subject Matter Expert within the assigned product lines.
Manage distribution of vendor technical bulletins and provide recommendations on actions to take.
Issue and update standard jobs for product line within drilling equipment.
Issue corporate reports (Technical Reports, Technical Bulletins, Technical Proposals).
Respond to rig technical issues and downtime events at any time and support recovery efforts.
Liaise with vendors and review equipment reliability/upgrades.
Ensure best practices and lessons learned are shared from various rigs.
Review management of change cases, maintenance change requests, and improvement proposals from rigs.
Review and maintain the preventative maintenance tasks in the assigned areas of responsibility.
Pursue opportunities and support the development of condition monitoring and condition-based maintenance for equipment in the assigned areas of responsibility.
Participate in technical audits across the fleet, as required.
Ensure company directives and procedures are reviewed and updated as required to stay in compliance with latest international standards and regulatory requirement.
Assist various rig and project management teams as required to develop and advise on proposed scopes of work in connection with SPS or other long-term maintenance/upgrade projects.
Follow up on rig downtime related to equipment within product line responsibility.
Feedback on equipment reliability issues to improve design with OEMs.
Maintenance tasks are adequate to support the reliability of the equipment.
Clear guidance is provided to the organization to maintain equipment within product line responsibility.
Author standard jobs and corporate standards.
Author corporate reports (Technical Reports, Technical Bulletins, Technical Proposals).
Address OEMs on behalf of the company to improve equipment reliability within product line responsibility.
Attend FATâ s on behalf of the company.
Provide relevant technical input to other function intra company.
Requirements:
Bachelorâ s degree in relevant engineering/technical field preferred
5 years minimum experience offshore in respective discipline at supervisory level is preferable; Other applicable areas of experience to be considered
Experience with installation and commissioning preferred
Demonstrated history of working effectively various offshore marine/subsea settings in the oilfield & energy industry preferred
Flexible to travel offshore as required in any country the company operates
High level relevant technical knowledge
Ability to liaise at high level with drilling units technical teams and unit management
Excellent understanding of equipment and systems within area of responsibility
Fully acquainted with management systems and asset management systems similar to TMS/Maximo/Synergy
Proficient at technical writing and communications using MS Office products
