Pulse Welder 2nd Shift

Hours: Monday - Thursday 2pm -12:30am

$3 Shift Differential Pay

Primary Purpose: Weld metal parts together using specified wire welding processes.

General Description: Use Pulse welder to assemble fabricated metal assemblies in an efficient manner to maximize production of a variety of garbage truck models.

Essential Duties

Use Pulse welder to assemble fabricated metal assemblies in an efficient manner to maximize production.

Produce strong penetrated welds that are smooth, non-porous, and consistent.

Follow required procedures and use appropriate jigs and fixtures to assist in assembly process.

Weld vertical, flat and overhead with good penetration.

Maintain/produce a level of output that will minimize production delays. Other Duties

Operate the equipment in a safe manner and report hazards associated with the equipment or its operations to the Safety Department and Maintenance Department.

Good communication.

Math skills including fractions and angles.

Read tape measure and angle finder.

Read blue-prints and cut lists.

Operate plasma cutter and acetylene torches.

Clean and maintain an orderly work area.

Assist other individuals in areas when needed.

Other duties as assigned. Experience: 1 year preferred in welding or fabrication.
