Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Collaborate with overseas suppliers and customers to refine and finalize designs

Develop 3D parts and 2D drawings, aligning with supplier and regulatory standards

Interface with the Product Regulation and Compliance staff to design products that meet government regulations, restrictions, and codes

Acquire proficiency in operating CAD software and PLM systems

Develop creative and technically feasible solutions for cost savings, service issues, and product improvements

Interface with Analysis, Test, and Manufacturing Engineering to determine the most effective use of materials and manufacturing processes

Conduct concept and design reviews for continuous improvement

Provide support for daily customer activities and interface with materials and purchasing on new part design and sourcing

Skills & Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience

Experience in 3D CAD

Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks Composer, and NX Unigraphics will be an advantage

Available to travel internationally for variable durations

Qualification:

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent

South African citizenship

Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
