Who we are looking for:

Re:Car is looking for a highly technical, dynamic and experienced Problem Solving Expert - Six Sigma Blackbelt to join our growing team. This position will provide strong problem-solving expertise and leadership to achieve high Quality and Reliability Products. The role will work collaboratively with all internal and external partners, particularly with the development, manufacturing and warranty teams, ensuring effective application of problem solving methodologies and core quality tools.

What you get to do:

Develop and implement strategy to enhance Problem Solving capabilities to enhance product quality from the customer's perspective.

Utilize all data points and databases to identify the biggest opportunities to drive problem solving projects and training.

Use Six Sigma skills including Measurement System Analysis, process capability, hypothesis tests, pairwise comparisons, Design of Experiments, Multi-vary analysis, Regression analysis and Reliability analysis.

Utilize 3x5 Why process to drive systemic root cause and improvements.

Support market analysis activities, quality studies and benchmarking activities as required.

Support the definition of quality requirements, the quality maturity management and quality validation of functions and systems.

Support risk minimization activities through use of appropriate risk assessment tools and verification of the robustness of detection and prevention systems for special characteristics.

Definition of quality processes and technical standards in cooperation with development, product management and operations to ensure product quality.

Support, train and mentor team members, foster a culture of learning, and facilitate skill development to enhance the problem solving capabilities.

Expert and Trainer of Core Quality Tools and Docs; FMEA, SPC, MSA, APQP, PPAP, Control Plan etc…

Conduct FMEA Moderation as required

What you bring to the team:

The role will be expected to have high integrity, curiosity, resourcefulness and strive to exhibit a positive and growth mindset. You will feel comfortable operating in a flexible and fast paced environment with a collaborative approach to achieving goals! You’ll also bring:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (e.g.) industrial/ mechanical/ vehicle, or related field

10+ years of experience in automotive engineering/product quality, with at least 3 years in a leadership role in an OEM/ Tier 1

Certified Six Sigma Black Belt with a proven track record of delivering successful projects. Master Blackbelt and Shainin certification would be advantageous.

Very good technical understanding and sound knowledge of product development, manufacturing and warranty processes.

Excellent problem solving and root cause capabilities.

Working knowledge of Lean Principles. Preferably Lean Manufacturing trained.

Proficient in the use of commonly applied quality tools and processes in the automotive industry (e.g. IATF 169494, AIAG, VDA, APQP, PPAP). Certified Auditor preferred.

Excellent working knowledge of DVP&R’s, FMEA’s and Control Plans.

Certified and experienced Trainer of Core Quality Tools.

Highest level of integrity and the ability to make data-driven decisions.

Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced start-up environment.
