The Senior Process Improvement Specialist facilitates projects and system implementations, performs process improvement and resource utilization studies, takes ownership of education and training, and collaborates with leadership to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, improve job satisfaction, and ensure exemplary service.

Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday (1st shift)

Responsibilities

• Charters and facilitates multidisciplinary teams to prevent and solve operational problems.• Manages multiple projects and milestones concurrently.• Gathers and analyzes data to determine trends, identify root cause, and make informed decisions regarding process changes.• Utilizes Lean, Six Sigma, Institute for Healthcare Improvement, and Change Management tools and methodologies to solve complex problems.• Converts data into informative presentations and presents clearly and effectively to all organizational audiences.• Spreads continuous improvement culture to all levels of the organization through education and coaching.• Develops education strategy and content to train, coach, and mentor all levels of the organization in the effective application of operational and process improvement tools and methodologies.

Qualifications

Education Requirement:• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Management Engineering, or a related field, required.• Masters Degree, preferred.Certifications: Maintains a Six Sigma Black Belt certification from a university, institute, corporation, or professional society.Skills:• Demonstrated advanced knowledge and application of Lean, Six Sigma, Institute for Healthcare Improvement, and Change Management tools and methodologies.• Demonstrated process improvement success.• Proficient with MS Office and statistical software such as Minitab.• Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills, with an ability to communicate at varying levels.Experience:• Five years’ experience facilitating operational or process improvement projects, required.• Demonstrated experience with training, coaching, or mentorship.The above list of duties is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by individuals assigned to this classification.
