Who we are looking for:

We are actively searching for Rigging Estimators to join our Chantilly, Virginia team focused on providing unparalleled service in industrial rigging, crane operations, and commercial storage. The position requires a motivated (self-starter) individual with a strong work ethic and high concern for providing optimal solutions.

This is a great opportunity to break into the construction industry, learn construction estimating, and be involved with the early stages of project planning. As an Estimator, you will gain invaluable insight into many components of the construction industry while working with a dedicated team of professionals.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Read and comprehend project documents.

Interpret job requirements provided by salesmen.

Quantify job components and apply costs.

Produce timely job cost spreadsheets.

Determine the method of procedure for moving heavy equipment.

Analyze multiple options for any given job requirement.

Work with other estimators and project personnel to determine optimal solutions.

Compose project plans including crane lift plans and rigging plans.

Identify project safety hazards that must be accounted for.

Work with other estimators to prepare and deliver estimate package.

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

HS Diploma or GED equivalent.

Proficient Microsoft Office and computer skills.

Construction experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Two (2) years of construction estimating experience preferred.

Professional Qualifications:

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.

Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite (excel, word, outlook).

Thorough understanding of basic math.

Highly organized, efficient, detail-oriented and accurate.

Ability to work independently as well as within a team.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to prioritize tasks and complete them in a timely manner.

Positive attitude and willingness to take initiative.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

Standard office environment including work at a computer terminal. Work involves extended periods of sitting, occasional walking, and lifting up to 10 pounds.
