JOB SUMMARY

The Support/Multifunction Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating and maintaining mobile and/or stationary equipment to relieve or backfill other team members.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Operates and maintains mobile and/or stationary equipment to relieve/backfill Production and Retail Operators

Follows all company policies and local, state, and federal regulations (MSHA, etc.) for safe, environmentally conscious working procedures

Performs daily pre and post inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies

Cleans the plant(s), equipment, and breakrooms and maintains designated work area (stockpiles, etc.)

Utilizes understanding of the capabilities of equipment of various sizes and weights

Performs minor servicing and maintenance of equipment or facilities

Assists with major repairs as needed

Regular, reliable attendance at the worksite or assigned work location

Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Must possess a safe work history

Must have a good record of behavior and attendance

Have a positive attitude and proactive approach to our safety program

Willingness to do other work as needed, including heavy labor

Ability to operate and monitor equipment in a safe and efficient manner

Ability to perform preventive maintenance and pre-shift inspections; repair and/or clean equipment as needed

Ability to comprehend and complete all needed paperwork in a timely and accurate manner

Good interpersonal skills

Ability to work collectively in a team environment

Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including swing shift, graveyard shift, nights, overtime, and weekends as required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Lift objects of various dimensions and up to 75 lbs. of weight occasionally and 50 lbs. of weight frequently

Ability to work near, around, or on light or heavy equipment

Ability to repeatedly climb stairs and climb ladders

Ability to repeatedly balance, bend from the trunk, crawl, kneel, push and pull objects

Ability to use vibration tools frequently

Ability to tolerate working outdoors in all environmental temperatures and weather conditions

Ability to repeatedly reach, squat, and tolerate prolonged standing/walking/sitting

Ability to repeatedly walk on uneven surfaces
