Job Responsibilities:

Automated Testing Maintenance

Maintain automated testing infrastructure including software applications such as:

ESXi-based virtual machines

Jenkins

Database-driven reporting (Grafana)

Toptech-specific server-side automated tests

TestComplete automated tests

Review nightly test results to determine if any new issues have been identified

Create defect assessments for issues identified by automated tests

Work with Toptech developers, development managers, and QA manager to determine priority of issues identified by automated tests

Work with Toptech developers, development managers, and QA manager to assess incoming software development changes to modify existing automated tests accordingly

Maintain list of outstanding defects identified by automated tests and adjust nightly testing schedule accordingly

Perform testing on items resolved by development for automated testing defects

Work closely with QA manager to suggest updates to automated testing framework

Automated Testing Creation

Work with QA manager and automation team to review framework and develop test designs prior to test creation (Design meetings)

Develop new server-side tests based on priority determined by QA manager

Develop new client-side tests based on priority determined by QA manager

Ensure coding best practices are applied to newly developed tests

Document newly developed tests within Automated Testing Matrix

Submit newly developed tests to source control for review and submission

Integrate newly developed tests into appropriate automated testing pipeline

Ongoing Automated Testing Development

Research new improvements to tools used in automated testing to determine if further efficiencies can be applied

Jenkins, TestComplete, AI-integration

Maintain contain with vendors to inquire about functional upgrades to testing software

Minimum Requirements

2-4 years direct experience developing and executing tests with Selenium-based software

Extensive experience with core software development languages (Linux, Bash, SQL, Perl, JavaScript, etc.)

Experience of system QA testing best practices, methodologies, and writing test cases

Proficient in the preparation of test data and regression test scripts

Expertise in documenting defects with high level of detail, accuracy, and informative reproduction steps using applications such as Confluence & JIRA

Demonstrated experience in the Agile & Scrum development process (DevOps/SDLC knowledge)

Experience with source code control and best practices (Perforce/Git)

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Excellent listening, presentation, and interpersonal skills

Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment tools such as Jenkins

Experience in using JUnit or TestNG tests for reporting purposes

Proficient in testing web services (REST and SOAP) testing using SoapUI, Postman or equivalent tools

Proficient in navigating Linux system logs and troubleshoot potential defects
