Diagnostic Med Sonographer I-Radiology - Rockport

Summary

For a limited time MaineHealth is offering up to $5,000 Sign on bonus for all eligible experienced Diagnostic Med Sonographer.

Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.

Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment. Position Summary

Provides health care services, applying sonic energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment of patients of all ages and physical abilities. Demonstrates anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention by, or at, the request of a licensed practitioner.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

Education: Graduate of an approved sonography school preferred.

License/Certifications: Current ARDMS Certification or obtained within 1 year of hire. Current CPR certification.

Experience: Previous hospital experience preferred.

Maintains Ultrasound knowledge by attending meetings or by the use of journals and articles

Obtain appropriate CEU to maintain licensure

Seek opinions of Radiologist or other sonographers when a case is in question

Able to use Vrad/Synergy system for off hours exams.

Understands protocols and procedures for each exam Additional Information
