Job Description:

We have an exciting position to serve as both a direct team and GDIT Task lead, as well as the Deputy Infrastructure Operations Manager to the federal government’s CIO operations. You will function as leader on the task determining our customers’ needs and priorities, coordinating technical solutions responses to those needs, helping to shape customer acquisitions, and positioning GDIT to delivery best in class services. In addition, you will coordinate with other managers to infuse enterprise best practices across Service Delivery, Proposals, and Customer Satisfaction.

This position requires an individual with a broad skillset that can lead a large information technology infrastructure service delivery organization, drive new business organic growth, bring thought leadership, and build customer relationships to understand our customers evolving needs. Here, you’ll support solving some of our clients’ biggest challenges and help us grow the business. As the Task Lead/Infrastructure Operations Deputy you will manage and be responsible for the daily operations of the Infrastructure team. You will also manage multiple IT projects of varying size, scope and complexity.

Task and responsibilities in this role include, but are not limited to the following:

Supervise teams to ensure tasks are completed on schedule and within scope

Manage team priorities against daily mission needs in coordination with the customer

Report information through site communications group meetings, status reports, and logs to team members and management

Generate recommendations in the form of technical briefings, reports, and other major documents provided to senior level client personnel

Perform quality control and ensure quality assurance of project deliverables.

Participate in special projects as required

Conduct planning and provide recommendations to customer on task workload.

Attend customer meetings and may serve as primary client liaison

Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies

Strong ability to lead, mentor, and motivate experienced technical staff

To qualify, you must meet these basic qualifications:

Ten years of Enterprise IT Infrastructure Management experience with expertise leading program teams; experience in leading infrastructure operations

Experience managing bringing thought leadership to the customer

Degree in a related field

US citizenship

Must be able to hold a clearance, position will be subject to random drug testing.

Scrum and PMP certification preferred, but not required

Hybrid position: must be available to go on site 2-3 days a week
