Responsibilities:
We are seeking an Associate to join our Public Sector Municipal Advisory team with our CORE group. Baker Tilly’s Municipal Advisory team is one of the nation's largest independent municipal advisory practices and provides objective analysis, planning and creative solutions for many types of projects. This person will ideally be located near Indianapolis and work a hybrid schedule, but would consider near other Baker Tilly locations.
The Coordinator/Consultant will provide assistance to the arbitrage services group. The arbitrage services group prepares various financial analyses and calculations relating to bond financing to ensure clients’ compliance with certain federal tax laws and regulations.
Track New Arbitrage Engagements and Maintain Centralized Repository
Maintain Arbitrage WIP Database with High Degree of Accuracy
Read Bond Documents to Gather Pertinent Bond Issue Details
Analyze Refunding Issues for Potential WIP Updates
Generate Reports from Database for Billing and Scope Preparation
Actively Communicate to Monitor Bond Issue Closing Dates
Integrate Data from Multiple Databases
Distribute client deliverables
Prepare lists of outstanding debt for clients and cross verify for accuracy
Assist in the Creation of a Process Document for Tracking Debt Issues and Post Issuance Services
Qualifications:
Associates degree preferred
Minimum of three (3) plus years of general bookkeeping and accounting experience
Highly detail oriented and focused on accuracy
Strong organization, analytical, and time management skills
Able to multi-task and adapt to changing needs
Experience with Adobe
Excel – advanced skill level
Excellent customer service and client focused skills
Excellent written and oral communication a must
Experience with bonds or legal documents a plus
Eligibility to work in the U.S., without sponsorship, highly preferred
