Job Summary:
The Stratascale Communications Specialist is a passionate storyteller who will help develop and implement communication strategies that expand our brand’s story and engage internal and external stakeholders. They will be responsible for overseeing all team member communications including email notifications, newsletters, and intranet content. Additionally, they will support the Stratascale public relations program, nurturing relationships with the media and the public. The ideal candidate is an excellent writer that has first-hand experience in the communications field and is both organized and creative.
This position will report to Charlotte, NC on a hybrid work schedule as determined by Stratascale management.

Responsibilities:
Includes, but not limited to:
Raise internal awareness of Stratascale initiatives and programs by developing relevant, timely, and engaging content including email copy, newsletters and company announcements
Work with cross-functional teams and department leaders to implement communication strategies, procedures, and processes
Ensure all communication pieces align with the Stratascale brand and adhere to existing guidelines
Lead day-to-day communication activities:Develop and maintain editorial calendar
Manage the Stratascale corporate intranet in coordination with department leaders
Partner with creative team to develop content and copy for digital displays located in Stratascale headquarters
Support executive communications and the coordination of public appearances for company executives
Support and expand the Stratascale PR program:Serve as a liaison between PR agency partner and Stratascale
Create public relations content such as press releases, bylines, and interview briefs
Manage / field PR inquiries and support media outreach
Track PR placements and deliver monthly reports with support from agency partner
Monitor Stratascale’s online presence and brand reputation
Organize media events and press activities
Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and grow community programs designed to enhance engagement within the Charlotte market:Develop and maintain a database of community contacts, partnerships, and collaborations
Serve as point of contact for community contacts
Coordinate the participation of Stratascale executives and team members in community events
Partner with field marketing to activate community sponsorships
Collaborate with marketing team members to create content when needed
Lead the submission of company award applications including content curation, application writing, and milestone tracking
Identify and share communication trends and strategies that can increase company outreach and enhance employee engagement
Assist with the development and implementation of marketing strategies for Stratascale and other duties as assigned by the Sr. Director of Marketing and executive leadership
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in strategic communications, journalism, marketing, or a related field
3 years of demonstrated experience in corporate communications, public relations, marketing communications, or a related role
Experience creating, managing, and supporting PR programs either in house or with the support of an agency partner
Experience writing, editing, and publishing press releases including the use of wire services or distribution platforms like PR Newswire or BusinessWire
Working knowledge of AP Style and a documented history of the ability to write compelling content for internal and external audiences

Highly Microsoft 365 literate with capability in Outlook, MS Office Suite, and related business and communication tools
Proficiency in social media platforms and other digital communication tools
Adaptability to changing priorities and the ability to work autonomously
Ability to build relationships with individuals across the organization from a consultant to the CEO
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to demonstrate executive presence
Passion for marketing, communications, and process efficiency
Preferred Skills:
Working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint
Familiarly with WordPress for content management and publishing
Experience leveraging a marketing automation tool (e.g. HubSpot, Marketo, MailChimp) to build and manage email communications

Additional Information:
The estimated annual pay range for this position is $50,000 - $85,000 which includes a base salary and bonus. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
