Job Summary:
The purpose of the position is to lead the Global Marketing of the MTI Pet Care business by the development/management of the business unit branding to communicate our capabilities and value to customers, the consumer, investors, and all other stakeholders, while delivering on innovation and creating new on trend products for the cat litter market.
Location: Mississauga (Port Credit), ON, CAN or Hoffman Estates, IL, U.S.
Compensation: $150k-$180k base plus bonus
Responsibilities
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The position will direct and lead marketing initiatives for North America, Europe and Asia markets
Support new product development initiatives across all product categories and geographies
Establish a strong name and brand image with the recent launch of the new MTI Pet Care group
Will lead external communications to the market highlighting our key initiatives and successes
Position MTI Pet Care as the global leader in private label cat litter
Oversee Pet Care small portfolio of branded litter products
Manage market research and industry analysis, ensuring that accurate data and trends are identified
Manage the Voice of the Customer (VOC) process to drive innovation
Assist with overseeing the MTI Pet Care website
Will be the lead person with managing tradeshow participation
Support regional marketing managers and/or sales team with RFQ’s, sample submission, competitive analysis
Responsible for annual artwork development budget including external design fees, films, and printing plates
Lead in-house artwork development for packaging components and sales support materials such as mock-ups, brochures, signage, sell sheets, and tradeshow materials
Lead marketing resources with various administrative activities; such as new customer set-up, item set-up, customer portals, legal/contract items, etc.
OE/Lean
Actively participate in continuous improvement processes such as 5S, Kaizen, Standard Work, and Hoshin Kanri
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
Five to Ten years marketing experience, preferably in private label consumer goods
International experience, preferably in Europe and/or Asia
Supervisory experience.
Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Strong, professional communication skills
Ability to learn and develop quickly through personal initiative.
Organized, enthusiastic and self-motivated.
Technical Requirements:
Is required to have a complete understanding of MS Office and meet the technical requirements of their respective department.
