Inviting applications for the role of AM, Supply Chain Planning – Buyer/Planner

The Buyer/Planner is responsible for coordinating and managing the procurement and inventory control activities of the company. This role involves analyzing demand, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery of materials to meet production requirements. The Buyer/Planner will also be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels and implementing strategies to optimize inventory turnover.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily purchasing activities related to supplier base management, production orders, logistics and financial flows to suppliers.

• Analyze market trends, evaluate suppliers, and identify potential cost saving opportunities and alternative source of supply.

• Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPI) to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of the procurement function.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

• Check for Hung Requisitions via MAP/ASCP/Materials Dashboard

• Check for projected shortages and escalate to Site lead (post completion of Supplier call)

• Follow-up on Late Supply (aged PO / aged in-transit), missing promise dates, past due cards

• Release Planned Orders (through ASCP)

• Check and resolve hung requisitions (Requisitions that did not convert to POs)

• Check for projected shortages and escalate to Site lead (post Supplier call)

• Check consumption vs. Plan for suppliers

• Attend Gemba activities (all relevant meetings and discussions related)

• Be mindful for any optimization opportunity (MDM, Order Modifiers, Processes)

• Review Materials Dashboard for Data Cleanliness and performance metrics.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications

• Rich work experience.

• University Graduate

• Relevant Experience

Preferred qualifications

• Strong Supply Chain knowledge/skills

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Demonstrated proficiency in Materials Management skills/methods.

• Relationship building with suppliers.

• Knowledge of finance, marketing, sales functions

• APICS training preferred.

• Kinaxis knowledge preferred.
