Construction/trade office is seeking a qualified Contract Administrator to join their team. Hours are Monday - Friday 7:00am/8:00am - 3:00pm/4:00pm, with some flexibility. Salary depends on experience. Company offers comprehensive benefits package.
Responsibilities:
-Review purchase orders, contracts, insurance, and other legal documents
-Serve as liaison between internal and external parties during contract development and negotiation stages
-Recognize and analyze potential risks that contract terms and any changes to those terms may pose to the company
-Review, draft, and/or negotiate construction contracts, vendor agreements, purchase orders, insurance requests, and material supplier contracts
-Identify over-reaching insurance language in customer s requests for contracts and indemnity forms and notify owners before they sign
-Request certificates from carriers for our customers and review customer-requested insurance requirements that are not standard
-Deliver concise legal documents and communications to internal business partners
-Other administrative or accounting support as needed, including some billing, receivables, and order processing using QuickBooks
Qualifications:
-Certified Paralegal in NY is preferred
-2-5+ years of experience in contracts/construction/ insurance
-Familiarity with General Liability and Workers Comp Insurance
-Comfortable working with and communicating with clients
-Computer literate (Microsoft Office Suite)
-Willingness to work on site
-Deadline-oriented
-Capable of working in a fast-paced environment
-Self-management and problem-solving skills
-Strong team player that will support others on the team and be open to jumping in with others if needed
